What are Priority Standards?

Priority Standards are Michigan Standards that our district considers a top priority. Priority Standards are "key learnings" that will prepare students for the next grade level, district, state and national assessments, and more importantly for life. Most of our instructional time should be focused on the Priority Standards and our goal is for every student to meet or exceed these standards. Teachers design their instruction to teach the skills and knowledge that students need to master the Priority Standards. Students are graded through assessments of their skills in each Priority Standard on the K-6 report card.
