Hello Hayes Families!
Elementary schools play a very important role in the development of children. Parents trust the entire staff to put their most precious possession into their hands. Children trust the entire staff to keep them safe, nurtured and eager to learn. A community expects a school to be a vital, contributing partner and educate children to be contributing members of their society.
Supervising all that responsibility is your building principal. Your principal needs to be organized, resourceful and focused as well as insightful, communicative and supportive. Among many other leadership traits, honesty, respect and integrity hold the top of the list. Your principal must be visible, reachable, and able to solve a plethora of problems.
It is with great excitement and humbleness that I accept these responsibilities and expectations to serve you at Hayes Elementary School. I will strive to meet the needs of students, parents and staff, to pick up where your Hayes Team has left off, and continue on a path to success. I am eager to learn your traditions, continue with your Leader In Me initiative, and become an integral part of our learning community.
I look forward to meeting each and every one of you and contributing to your success as well as the success of Hayes Elementary School. It’s going to be a GREAT year!
With Hayes Huskies Pride,
Sheila O’Kane, Ed.S.
