Digital Books:

You can access digital books for free on the Michigan eLibrary website using your drivers license or public library card number. 

Looking for great stories? Try BookFlix! Image result for bookflix logo
- Go to kids.mel.org and select "kids" then "storytime" and then "bookflix". This website has paired fiction and nonfiction books together as interactive read-alouds.

Databases for Research:
Instead of going to Google, try out one of these databases. They have accurate information on a large variety of topics at good reading levels for elementary students.

- You can also access Encyclopedia Britannica online for free at kids.mel.org. Just select "homework helpers" and then "Britannica School". This website provides lots of nonfiction articles at an elementary school reading level.

Snap and Read
Do your students need help reading text on their computers? Snap and Read is a program that will read text on the internet out loud.

To use this program on your computer, go to https://snapandread.com, and have your student go to "Create Account" and log in with their LPS email and password. 

Remember all student emails end with @student.livoniapublicschools.org
